One other thing. I don't see any way to change my callsign on the site, so I won't be able to use eQSL here unless I create a second account.

Other suggestions » Website needs to update callsigns when they change May 23, 2022 12:07 PM (Total replies: 2)

I received the following email this morning. I'll explain below the pasted email
why it is strange.

Here's the email:

==========================
(This e-mail has been forwarded to you via eQSL.cc
from one of our registered users:
Peter Cunego, DE1PCE)

Hello KJ3I,

DE1PCE just sent you an eQSL for your QSO on May 06, 2022 at 04:20 UTC on 20m.
You can pick up your card by going to your InBox at https://www.eQSL.cc but if
you do not wish to receive these emails, go to MY PROFILE and you can turn them
off.
==========================

Here's what's strange. I changed my callsign twice since the KJ3I call. I was
not on the air on May 6, 2022. In fact, I have not been on HF for many months.
My back room is waiting to be cleaned (the garage needs to be cleared out first
for this to happen), and my station antenna is down, waiting for me to put up a
support for one end of it to replace the tree that was removed that served as
one support (with the counterweight and pulley system).

I went to the website and when I click through the system, I find a log with
LOTS of contacts I apparently made, but I didn't make them in fact.

There is someone who has my old callsign. Bruce G Hensler, who got it as a
vanity call.

It may just be that Bruce hasn't got in touch with the QSL website (link above)
to change the log ownership.

Does anyone here happen to know Bruce, or how to get the website to get the
account out of my name?

Hensler, Bruce G
824 2nd St
New Cumberland, PA 17070

If you can help, I'd like to get it out of my name without causing him any
problems.
