This means I have to enter each log again, with its portable/mobile designator in place. Yuck. Marty

Not the first time I have been wrong. Sorry about that. And I thought I had it all straight in my fuzzy little brain. Guess not. Marty

Hmmm. The overlaping dates perhaps is something new. How does eQSL know which call to log the incoming eQSL's to, if the dates overlap and if your call is the same (as say a mobile operation, going from county to county, or call area to call area and the sending party doesn't include the portable designator) ?
Something else to puzzle over. And NO this confusion is NOT fun!! I have not yet entered my logs for my Quebec trip several years ago. It is not in the computer. And I have too many other FUN things to do!! (HI). Marty-to-Marty

Each and every time you operate from a different location, where you know that the recipient of your eQSL might care where you operated from, you need to have a separate account under your main account. For example, if you operate from Podunk, ME from March 1 thru 3, and for some reason people care that you are in Podunk (County hunters?), then you CLOSE your main account on Feb 28, and OPEN a new account on March 1, which ends on March 3, and you enter all the pertinent information for your "new" QTH. Then you upload your ADI file to this Podunk account for dates March 1-3.
Then if you go back to your main QTH on March 4, you open a "New" account for March 4, showing your Main QTH information. The logs do NOT overlap.
I don't see any problems with whether the other station calls you "k4vm" or "k4vm/7". It doesn't appear to matter. The main call and the date directs the eQSL to your correct account.
I believe you need to delete the calls from the wrong account (you can't transfer them). Then correct the closing date on the "wrong" account. Then create a "new" account with correct dates and QTH. Then re-submit your ADI file to this new account.
Are we having fun yet?? Marty

Now why didn't I think of that?? I guess because I didn't really want to know how that grid square thing worked. Back to the old books again.
Thanks. Marty

I have not yet gotten into LoTW. That is still ahead of me AND I have not solved the problem of grid squares for my 6 weeks of mobile over many parts of Quebec. I haven't found a city-to-grid-square translator, like there is for the USA on the ARRL web site.

In my above comments, part 2): If you do it all under ONE account, you will not only have the wrong county for everyone who gets your eQSL, but you will have the wrong grid square.
It looks like you absolutely MUST create a separate account for each QTH you are in, in order to get the proper eQSL credits to the recipients of your cards.
It is all terribly confusing. 73, Marty

To continue: in YOUR inbox under the correct county, and the card will be rejected. b) find a way to post the comments for your county to the eQSL, and do it all under one account. 2) If you are mobile and don't care about the other party getting credit for each county, do it all under one accound. 3) If you are mobile/portable and YOU care about the state/country the other party is in because you are gathering credits for eQSL awards, then you can do it all onder one account. 4) I believe that the eQSL computer will place your incoming eQSL into your account based upon your primary call (with our without the /m or /p designator) AND based on the DATE the account is active.
This is a bit confused because I can't edit my entry after I mistakenly hit "send" .
Remember that comments placed on YOUR eQSL do NOT count as credits for any eQSL award for anyone.

Through a lot of time and effort on my part, and that of various support team members, I have found out that: 1) If you are mobile and want to give out counties to other stations, and want this county to show up on your eQSL, then you either must a) have a NEW account for EACH county your drive through. If you leave a county at say 1415z (in your log) and the other party sends his QSL showing 1416Z, it will not show up

grumble. mutter, sputter. I really didn't want to have to know all these details! I am a very casual contester. Thanks for the additional information. I need to make a decision somewhere along here, as to just how much work I am going to go to for eQSL benefits.
Again, Thanks. Marty

I got the latest update of Win-EQF before I started in on this project. BUT: finding a new logger might be a good idea. Win-EQF also doesn't transfer signal reports that contain more than 3 digits correctly (as in a contest report: 59924). It calls it a "STX_STRING" rather than a RST_STRING. ARGHHH. Too soon old: too late smart.
Again, Thanks. Marty

I got that replacement doesn't work. I have been deleating records, and adding records, as I try and fix things. I am currently contacting N3EQF to find out about some irregularities in his ADIF format.
Thanks for the url for the specs on what eQSL wants. That has helped a lot. Wish I had gotten that when I started this job. I really didn't want to know about the nitty gritty details of data transfer.
Again, thanks for all your help. 73, Marty

Notice this is an ADDITIONAL account, with an error in it. I detached it, but am unable to delete or change it. I will contact Support and see if it is worth the effort to delete. 73, Marty

<COMMENT:18>Montgomery Co., TN Here is the comment line from my ADIF file, as created by Win-EQF
The reason I asked is because last week it looked like the comment line was going to eQSL and I spent considerable time posting my QTH for QSO in that line in my database. Now it doesn't go at all.
OK. Just so I know it is no longer supposed to go, I can handle it.
Thanks. Marty

I created a bogus additional account. I need to delete it. There are NO QSO's attached to it. How do I do that?

My ADIF file contains the comments I want to send to eQSL. They used to make it over, but not any more. They are in the ADIF file but not in eQSL any more.
What am I doing wrong? 73, Marty

Thanks Rich, I will see if I can un-snarl this mess. Somehow I need to see what my log actually looks like in eQSL. Then I will know what I can delete, and replace with QSO's based on whether I am mobile or portable or whatever I was doing that week! As you said, I should leave alone the eQSL's I have acknowledged, and they are spotty here and there. I have only uploaded en-mass ONE rather small batch of QSO's. I will contact regular support and see what they can do to help.
I think it is do-able. I just am not sure it is worth it!

Thanks Rich for the info. To make matters even worse, sometimes I sign /7, sometimes not, from the same QTH. And I never log which I use. And I can't tell which the return QSLer will use.
I can tell when I operate from where. However, since I have all ready said I operated from 1970 to now in my original profile, the system won't let me delete sections and then put in the smaller piece parts of the log, based on where I was. ie. I can't enter a log from October 2000 to April 2001 for K4VM or for K4VM/7 because the system all ready has those dates in the original catch-all log and it won't let me delete that original piece.
I fear the same problem with LoTW. I expect this little (HAH!) problem will occur in all data bases.
Ah well, back to paper and pencil and stamps. 73, Marty
