Hallo Dave, thanks for your reply and your agreement that this would be a nice feature. If i can support the feature, by testing for example, just let me know. The most time consumting effort with short vacation accounts is, i guess the redesign of the QSL card after the vacation. Is there a way to save the QSL design and reuse it on another of my accounts? Maybe i've missed that. Concerning your other question, unfortunatly i think in germany that's not allowed. We just use the regular suffixes like /P, /M, /MM, but no numbers. Hallo, i understand the method of creating a second accound for example during a short (1-week) vacation. But i think the process is a bit unflexible. Especialy is you use this method more often. So i would like to ask, if there is a more convenient way or to create a database feature which do all the work for you. Here is the situation i guess many OM's have (at leat if they use SOTA, GMA, etc., frequently) I would like to have my regular /P account for normal portable operation from home or near home. So start and end dates for this accound are license start until sometime in the far future. So far so good. Now i go on vacation or do a activation where i would like to create a special QSL design. Now i would like to have a button on my /P account where i only enter a timespan in between the start and end date of my normal existing /P account and the DB automaticaly creates this new account and also another one for the time after the vacation with my normal existing QSL design and all other settings. Would that be possible or is there maybe something similar already which i've overseen? Thanks very much in advance 73' DG1FBN DG1FBN/P Malte Strübert

Hallo, das Thema ist zwar grundsätzlich hier nicht neu aber ich stehe immer noch etwas auf Kriegsfuss mit dem aktivem Handling. Vorweg: Ich bin viel Portabel (GMA/SOTA) unterwegs. Hierfür nutze ich i.d.R. mein Call + /p. Hierfür habe ich auch dieses Call unter my Accounts zu meinem normalen Call (ohne Suffix) angelegt und hierfür ein "Portabel" Design hinterlegt. Als Startdatum beider Calls habe ich das Ausstelldatum meiner Lizenz in 1996 eingetragen. Als Enddatum beider Calls ist derzeit 31-12-2030 eingetragen. Grundsätzlich habe ich wenig Lust für jeden aktivierten Berg Start&Enddatum sowie QSL Design anzulegen. Ein Portabel Design reicht mir hier i.d.R. für meine normalen Portabelaktivitäten aus. Die GMA/SOTA Ref sowie Portabel Locator stehen dann in der QSL_MSG drin. Jetzt aber zur eigentlichen Frage: Sporadisch würde ich gerne für besondere Aktivitäten (größere DLFF/COTA/Urlaubs aktivität) auch unter meinem /p Call ein besonderes QSL design anbieten. Wie geht das? bzw. geht das überhaupt? Nach meinem Kenitnissstand hätte ich: 1.) Das End-Date meines /p Accounts auf den Tag vor der Sonder-QSL geändert. 2.) Dann für x-Tage einen Account mit Call+/p angelgt und dort das sonder QSL Design hinterlegt 3.) nach beendigung einen neuen Account mit Call+/p Start Date nach der Sonderaktivität und dort wieder mein Standard Portabel Design hinterlegt. End Date dann wieder open end (irgendwas 2030). Das bedeutet aber wenn man sowas öfter macht, das man dann zwischen den Sonder QSL Accounts immer wieder das gleiche Standard QSL Portabel Design mehrfach anlegt. Mit den Jahren wird das dann schon eher unübersichtlich. Wie macht ihr sowas? Gruß und 73 Malte, DG1FBN DG1FBN/P Malte Strübert

Hallo, i have two quick questions: 1.) if i send a qsl card by inserding a QSO in the log or uploading them via ADIF. Of course the current card design is used. But what if: - i change my design before the other om accepted/verified the qso? - i change my design after the other om accpted/verified the qso? does the QSL design the other OM sees will be changed or does he only sees the design which was active at the moment i inserted my QSO in the database? 2.) would it be possible to see an exact copy (incl. QSO information text on the card) of the QSO the other OM will see if he accepts a QSO i inserted to the database? reason for this is, i would like to check if the design is working properly, for example if the QSOMSG field is big enough to accept all the informations, etc. This can't be seen in the QSO designed during designing.
