Mobile with many QTH's » Back and forth plus mobil qth's Mar 26, 2020 03:07 PM (Total replies: 10)

Years ago, you required me to create overlapping accounts, but now that you have restricted them from being overlapping, my accounts are all screwed up and cannot be corrected.

I have over a dozen things I need your staff to do to fix my accounts.

Mobile with many QTH's » Easy way to create a vacation QTH (account) Mar 26, 2020 03:06 PM (Total replies: 8)

The problem he is having with the vacation home is the same as for mobile or other temporary portable operations. He needs a new account with a unique time span for each vacation he takes. He takes more than one vacation in more than one area. He possibly has multiple vacation homes or spots.

I am the same way. I may go to the same camp ground several times a year, but I go to several different places for different things.

eQSL is not designed to work for anything other than a single fixed location and call sign. Anything else requires jumping through hoops.

eQSL needs to be set up in a relational database where it can accomodate every kind of operationg hams can imagine. It would allow counties, grid squares, mobile, portable, POTA, SOTA and everything else to be practical and easy to control by each user and each user would only need one account per call sign.

County Hunters » CQ USA-CA and eQSL Mar 26, 2020 02:09 PM (Total replies: 5)

eQSL will never be able to support county hunting or grid hunting with their current software configuration.

Years ago when eQSL was young, I volunteered to structure a database so they could offer rewards for counties, grid squares, mobile, portable operations and remote operations without having to create new accounts for each location. At worse, a user would need only one account per their own call signs. They declined.

I operated mobile from Florida to North Carolina and would have had to create a new linked account each time I entered a different county or grid square or when I arrived or left home.

Because their rewards are restricted to individual states, and because each location requires a new linked, non-reusable account, truckers and other drivers are not welcome users at eQSL.
