Msg. 1 of 2
Hi Gang!
Heres my problem, I have my primary QTH that I run out of 99% of the time. I'm going on vacation to another grid square for a week. I tried to reg a sub-account using a unique QTH Nickname and the proper Grid Square, but I'm getting an overlapping date error with my primary QTH (thats set from 2001 -> Default End Date).
Whats the proper way to handle this? Do i set my Primary QTH date ranges to right before my trip, and make /another/ sub-account for my primary QTH starting after I get back?
To make this even more complex with the date issue, I'm going to be using 2 different grid squares while im on vacation, and not sure what dates I'll be at each one (I was planning on making 2 different subaccounts with different Nicknames and grid-squares).
Thanks for any info you can give me. I want to do this the right way vs making a mess out of it by just 'making it work'.

If you have a single call, you can not have any overlapping dates on *any* sub-account.
One approach is to create a /p account if that is how you sign when you are going to operate portable and then create a sub-account for each grid square.
Other people just create a sub-account for each date range when and where they operate and make that particular sub-account the primary one when they are actually operating.
A naming convertion for sub-accounts might be usefull - pick something that works for you and is easy to remember.
