Good afternoon All,
Having looked through the threads, I am a little surprised that I did not find reference to a topic regarding the "Do Not Notify" notice that sometimes appears when filling out one's log entry. If nobody else has asked what "Do Not Notify" means, does that mean that I am missing something obvious?
Could somebody please explain the reason for this notice as I find it very disappointing after having filled out a log entry, to have my spirits dampened upon seeing it displayed.
I look forward to being notified. ;-)
Martin.

When you enter a QSO manually, you can choose to notify your correspondent by e-mail.... or not.. but not always...If your correspondent has not checked :
Be notified [] When someone sends me a new eQSL
in his profile, you will only get "do not notify"
Some Hams don't wish to receive ANY e-mail at all
The fact of checking "notified when someone..........eQSL" only works for manual entries, not for adif file uploads. With a bulk upload, it would put the sytem to it's knees...hi... nothing is sent .

Hello Guy, That answers that adequately. Somewhat like a "Do Not Disturb" notice on a hotel door methinks, the main difference being that one does not even get the chance to approach the 'door' in this instance.
Oh well, each man (HAM) to his own, so to speak.
Thank you for the explanation Guy.
Merci pour cette explication et 73s,
Martin.
