When I add some comments text in WSJT-X such as “Tnx for QSO, Please QSL” it doesn’t get transferred to the receiptient. It always shows in the ADIF file and shows in my QRZ log when uploaded. I use Style 2 with my own image. Any clues would be most welcome.

Hi, wrong field ! comment # qslmsg comment : private, personal notes qslmsg : displayed on the eQSL if you upload an adif file, check the box near STEP2 "WSJT-X: Import COMMENTS ?" in the upload page Quote: "WSJT-X exports comments into the wrong ADIF field if you intend the comments to go onto your outgoing eQSLs. Check this box to make sure your comments are visible on your eQSLs, or uncheck it if you want them to remain private !" 73 - F6DKQ

Thanks for your help Guy.
If I understand correctly I have now added a tick in WSJT-X/Settings/Reporting/db reports to comments.
Is this what you meant or is there something else on the eQSL screens?

If you only check the two "retain" boxes in the wsjtx settings, it will only be saved as a comment, <COMMENT> tag
for example :
<call:7>5B60AMX <gridsquare:0> <mode:3>FT8 <rst_sent:3>-04 <rst_rcvd:3>-12 <qso_date:8>20200819 <time_on:6>055130 <qso_date_off:8>20200819 <time_off:6>055320 <band:3>30m <freq:9>10.137224 <station_callsign:5>F6DKQ <my_gridsquare:6>JN37BI <tx_pwr:17> <comment:25>FT8 Sent: -04 Rcvd: -12 <operator:5>F6DKQ <eor>
What you need to do is to check the box near STEP2 "WSJT-X: Import COMMENTS ?" in the eQSL adif upload page
If I remember well, wsjtx 's companion software, JTALERT, is able to convert <COMMENT> into <QSLMSG> I no longer use it....
My logger does it, it can split comments (kept private) and QSL messages (printed on the eQSL) with a "qslmsg" separator

Thank you Guy
Well explained. I had never been to the adif import option before!

Following on from this.
I have always used grid tracker to import adif files into eQSL which is the reason that I had never used the adif import in eQSL.
I Have now turned off the grid tracker direct import and I will add the WSJT-X log file manually at periodic intervals. The file is ever expanding in WSJT and is it correct to keep adding the same file and would this produce duplications of QSL cards to receiptients?

Quote: would this produce duplications of QSL cards to recipients ? it does not really matter, dupes are rejected anyway...but it's better to avoid uploading dupes. 73
