I have been logging to eQSL for some time but haven't dug into the satellite naming conventions until today. I'm a bit confused about the apparent inconsistencies with name usage, the alias list (https://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/SatelliteInfo.cfm) and confirmations (or lack thereof due to bird name).

Examples:
1. HO-113 is listed as an alias for CAS-9 - however, entries for HO-113 do not confirm with entries for CAS-9. It seems there is a huge precedence set that this bird is known as HO-113 - I would think that it should at least be aliased to CAS-9 if not replace it and make CAS-9 the alias.

2. Same with the ISS. The ISS is very well known as ARISS. Why is not ARISS at least a working alias or even better, replace ISS with ARISS and make ISS the alias.

3. PO-101 is not listed as an alias for AISAT-1 but it does appear to be aliasing to PO-101, at least once it did. I have submitted ALL my PO-101 QSOs as "PO-101" but I have a confirmed contact in my eSatellite award list on AISAT-1 (submitted as PO-101) as well as some on PO-101. Both?

4. Is Lilacsat II used by anyone? It might should alias to CAS-3H.

5. All my ISS contacts (77) are submitted to eQSL as "ARISS". Only 3 have confirmed with the other operator. I'm assuming that's because the other operator also used "ARISS"? According to the alias list ARISS shouldn't be recognized at all. My eSatellite award page shows no confirmed contacts on the ISS.

6. Is there a reason FS-3 is listed twice (in link given above)?

7. In this same list there are a number of birds listed as "Active Today" that aren't. It would be difficult to keep that status updated to actively match the real state of the birds but I'm wondering if no information would be better than wrong information. Just a link to the AMSAT Status page would be good.
