FAQ N°1096

Q : Why am I "blocked" from the eAwards program and how can I get unblocked?

A : If we notice you have cross-posted eQSLs from one attached account into another one, it would imply that you made QSOs from different QTH's or different callsigns at the same time, which is a physical impossibility. To protect the integrity of our eAward system, we temporarily block your account from providing credits to other users' awards.

Note that your award applications can be rejected:

- If you have too high a rate of unconfirmed QSOs. Rule 10a
- If you have uploaded many QSOs with a different grid than the one in your account profile. Rule 14a
- repeated applications in breach of Rule 3b
- qso's satellite not configured in propmode SAT. Rule 18

.... etc... etc

Any rejection of an application is accompanied by the reason for rejection by the Award Manager.

In the case of a blockage, recovery is not automatic. As soon as you have corrected the issue, you have to ask an award manager to reinstate your account..

NB: in the Awards page, next to "manager" click on the manager's call sign to send him an e-mail

And I can't recommend enough that you read all the RULES of the Awards you are applying for

generally

3b : For any given number of credits, this eAward can only be earned once per applicant, regardless of attached callsigns.

10a. The AwardMaster for this award may determine at his sole discretion whether the eQSLs received are adequately matched by OUTGOING eQSLs sent by the applicant to confirm the credits applied for. A large number of unconfirmed eQSLs is against the spirit of the eQSL system and should be fixed by uploading your entire log, or by carefully confirming each valid incoming eQSL and rejecting each eQSL that does not match your log!

and more specifically :

eGrid
14a. Since the eAwards program is fully automated, it is not possible to scan the Comments of an eQSL to determine what grid square the contact was made from. The profile attached to each eQSL must correctly identify the QTH from which the contact was made. Users who upload numerous eQSLs that were not made from the QTH listed in their profile will have their account flagged as ineligible for participation in this eAward, either as applicants or as providers of contact credits.

eSat
18. For purposes of the eGrid Sat award, contacts must have been made via amateur satellite. On the other hand, credits for the eGrid UHF award can NOT be made by satellite. Because of the unfair advantage that contacts made using Internet-linked QSOs (such as IRLP, EchoLink, or eQSO) have over pure RF QSOs, they cannot be counted for this award. Due to the nature of these awards, our AwardMasters will be checking every credit individually, so please do not apply until you are certain that all your credits have the correct PROP_MODE tag (satellite, non-satellite, non-Internet, etc.) in the incoming eQSLs. You may correspond with senders of eQSLs that are incorrectly marked, to ask them to bring their eQSLs into compliance with the ADIF 2 specifications for propagation modes.

eWas
16a. Either Maryland (MD) or District of Columbia (DC) may be used as a credit, but not both. So, if you have both DC and MD, and only have 50 credits, you are still missing one State somewhere !
