On "latest AG" page i see some new AG members with /p /m and /qrp suffixes. It's conforming to ITU rules? I think not, in particular mode for /qrp!

If i buy a PA i will call as iw5ell/qro? I think not. :)

For portable stations the suffix rule is the number assigned from local telecom authority. If i call from Rome my callsign will be iw5ell/0, if i call in portable or mobile on the same region i will call as iw5ell/5.

Why assign these suffixes to AG member?

Cosimo,
I think it is because it is easier to keep track of different operating locations. I have an account for my camp in New Hampshire it is n1ork/p. I sign my call this way when I operate from this QTH. I is in a different Grid and a different state even though it is in the same region. I do this because you can't originate eQSLs for the eWAS award from different Grid locations. I suppose I could use n1ork/1, but would that be more confusing? What if I operated portable from Maine? Then I would also be n1ork/1, but could I make a new account for that operation in a different Grid location? I suppose that I could, but the dates would have to coinside with that operation. For me it is just easier to have an n1ork/p account for my QTH in New Hampshire, as I do not plan to operate /p from another location.
But you do bring up a good point and I'm not sure who is correct.
It is good to see you again on the forums.

Hello Andy.

I agree, /p or /m is easier. But in many contests is not accepted, because it's not possible to calculate the score.

The biggest problem is with the /qrp callsign. Many people call cq callsign/qrp, but the right call (imho) is cq qrp de callsign. When i reply to a /qrp i reply only to callsign.
