Hi all,

when eqsl reach a donation, the payment page http://eqsl.cc/qslcard/Membership.cfm is immediately updated, but all other pages not.

On the payment page i'm "silver member" but on awards page i'm not able to obtain any award.

Now the doubt:

When i reached my WAS (finally!) i checked the button to applying the award; all ok, but after a day i received a email by Russ K7INA, it refuse my award because i've missed a payment and my membership is downgraded to regular.

I checked my status and it's true! I missed a payment. But no email, no any notice on site, nothing at all. This is the best way to advise me? I think not. IMHO eQSL works like a tax office!

Anyway, when i found my credit card i've submitted immediately my 30$, in few minutes i was already Silver on the payment page, but not able to re-check my request for WAS.

I wrote to support without reply, today i wrote to K7INA but he not do this: "I do not deal with payments. I approve or reject awards."

If i lost a donation Russ say "Your Silver status has expired. I have conferred with the Webmaster and he agrees with my decision." when i pay he say "Calm down, my friend, it's only a hobby.".

Ok Russ, i'm calm and down, but with a doubt: eQSL is a hobby or a tax office?

This is Dave's answer from the OnLineQSL Yahoo! Group:

"In IW5ELL's case, he left his browser logged in since January 2009. If you never
log out and log in again, the system does not update your screens to show your
new membership status. That's all he needed to do, and as soon as he logged out
and back in, everything worked fine.

Correct Andy, I stay logged to eqsl (or lotw) for months or years. With modern S.O. and browsers it's not necessary to logout. I have everytime tens of pages open on my brower, much difficult to close all and reopen after shutdown/restart!

Cosimo,
I can not tell if you are serious or being funny. I leave my PC on for long periods also, but I do have to do a restart or power cycle once in a while when doing updates or something like that. Hope to hear you on the bands some day so that we can chat.

I'm serious Andy! I use Mozilla Firefox 3.5.3. Sometimes i not do shutdown but only standby. But even i restart my laptop, Firefox re-display the same pages when shutdown.
