Welcome everyone to the new satellite forum. Please feel free to post any questions or comments on satellite operation. I have been active on satellite for a little over a year and am a member of AMSAT. You will find me on most of the FM and linar birds working from my home QTH and from time to time portable from other grids. In the last few weeks I have operated from EM74, EM20, EM00 and EL17. If you have worked me from one of these, I have uploaded my logs and have AG status for EM74 and EM00. Welcome and enjoy the forum. Rob KB2YCC

TNX Robert for entering the forums. What is the easiest Sat to work these days? A few years ago I made some contacts on FM (UO-15?) but it went dead.

Robert, the easiest satellite to work these days is AO-51 which is an FM bird. Many people have worked this one with an HT and a hand held antenna. If you go to the AMSAT website, www.amsat.org, you will find a schedule for AO-51 and any information you may want for the other satellites.

Don't forget to try AO-27 and SO-50. Both can be worked with a HT as well.

Ok.. I bought a satelite antenna from Arrow Antenna's and have downloaded Freq's in my THf6a HT. Have downloaded Orbitron to get the pertinant information. I don't seem to get any quieting when the satalites are supposed to pass. I have my inclometer set as well as the azz' with my compass. I'm open in full squelch. My question is what would I be doing wrong? Dumb luck??? Have watched Randy on Youtube with his presentation several times and have tried to mock it. No luck. Need Help.........
