I wish to have help within qso and its frequency for the log.
Which frequency / band I should use to have marking right? Uplink or downlink frequency?
My logic says I mark the frequency where I hear, as its also same frequency where I hear the other station.
Now I been told I should use my uplink frequency as the correct frequency and band.
If I operate like FO-29, my uplink is 2m/ 145.950MHz and downlink is 70cm / 435.850MHz.
Is there a difference between usa and europe?
HRD logbook seems to have either an error or terminology problem as I have use two frequency log, one as FRQ for my transmission= uplink and FRQ RX for my downlink. Apparently these goes wrong order, at least within eQSL award requirement.
Could someone please straight me up? Thanks!

Hello Andy, thanks of replying to me.
This problem came up as I was about to get award from eQSL and I got message rejected because problems in my log.
I see problem with satellite bands/frequencies, I use HRD 5.0, where it has fields for frq and frq RX.
I receive qsl's marked with either uplink frq or downlink frq. American operator said to me to mark uplink frequency, europeans said to mark what I hear, ie- downlink. Now I'm confused big time. I mark my qsos at HRD as SAT, but that dont transfer to eQSL, so I need manually change that and mark what sat is wast to info field.
A bit tricky.
Any advices to improve my goofing?

For satellite QSOs you need to set the ADIF Prop_Mode field to be SAT. Not sure what HRD does, but Prop_Mode is definitely a field that eQSL supports, see: http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/ADIFContentSpecs.cfmAs far as upload/download frequency goes I have no idea, I don't know anything about satellites. I have posted the question to the other Advisory Board members and will find out shortly. 73, Dave - VA3KAB

Hi Dave, thank you of your help for me.
I have sent two emails of eQSL managers, but no reply. If I just know whats wrong, I sure correct the error.
Surprising thing is this sat frequency/band marking. Isnt it always frequency what you hear? Like hf, station marks rx frequency if operated at split mode.
I'm more than pleased to have your kind guidance

Hi Jari,
Ok, I heard back from Ken, KA2LIM, who is in charge of the eGrid SAT award.
The only thing he cares about is that the Prop_Mode field that I mentioned in my previous email, that needs to be set to SAT.
Here is what he had to say:
The key is that the contact is indicated as a SAT contact. The majority of SAT operators are very good about indicating SAT mode in their log. Which up or down link is used is really immaterial as some birds use VHF – up and UHF – down and some birds reverse of that and some are UHF – UHF and some VHF – VHF.

Hello Dave, Andy.
Thank you so much of clearing this for me!
I have soon 1200 sat qsos and changing their frequencies *manually* to HRD database freak me out.
I need to correct that column for prop mode and all is right. Upload my log again of course, to get it valid.
Your help was / is highly appreciated.
Thank you very much of your kindness for me.
