As an SWL I find it really bewildering why an operator would be a member of eqsl and in reply to an e-mail requesting an eqsl would reply "I DO NOT QSL", I think it defeats the object a little, but maybe thats just me and Im doing something wrong.

Some operators do not like SWL's listening in. Being on Eqsl is to get and give qsl so so why would one not send you one. I try to do so on every request. Good Luck!!! Jim AC8AZ

Although the statement "I do not QSL" when taken at face value, simply means that they do not confirm whatever you sent them. They may well do QSL-ing in general, but can't confirm the info you sent them.
I have to send those kinds of "yeah, no." messages nearly every time I log into eQSL.
