Don't worry! We want you to be able to get AG status and help you and others gain awards, so we'll do everything we can to help you get the AG stamp on your eQSL account.

If you don't have a scanner, perhaps you know someone who does? Ask them if they can scan your licence. If not, perhaps you or a friend has a digital camera? Take a photo of your licence and send that in. It doesn't have to be crystal clear, but make sure we can read the callsign and your name without having to use too much imagination.

If you use ARRL's Logbook of the World, you may be able to use our AG via LOTW authentication method.

If all else fails and you can't do any of these, write into Support. We'll be able to help. One of us will probably suggest that you photocopy your licence, mail it to us and we will then e-mail a licence image back to you so that you can upload it into the site. We'll advise you on the specific procedure to follow, depending where you live.

Please remember that you need to upload the licence to the site yourself - we can't accept licence images via e-mail to the Support address, for security reasons.

Tim,
I have AG status for my main call, G6CSY, which is 'gold', but my linked calls, such as GJ6CSY, GU6CSY, GW6CSY are only 'silver'. Doesn't my AG/gold extend over to my other calls, given that the UK licensing systems means that any GU/GD/GJ/GM/GW prefix with a 6CSY suffix is mine?

Graeme - the system has no way of knowing, as you and I do, that the G6CSY licence document is the same as the other UK calls. Simply upload your G6CSY image to each of the accounts and we'll approve them for you.

Tim,

In another topic about AG it says:

"An FCC Reference Copy downloaded off the web... " is not valid.

With the intro of the UK licence for life the only document we have is downloaded from the web. What do you want therefore from UK licensees?

As I recall, the UK license is now entirely electronic. I do not have a scanner but there is nothing to scan anyway. So, what do we do? Upload the PDF?

Simply taking an image of that document would be very easy to fake.

For reference for anyone else who comes across the question...

Convert the first page of the .pdf file to a .jpg of fairly small file and upload that.

[Or if you have LOTW ...]
