I have 2 questions regarding my park activations where I have My Gridsquare set to the park I am operating from. Previously I have been doing all my logs by leaving the gridsquare as it was but uploading separately into eQSL after editing the batch to have my home QTH grid. This avoids the error I get from mismatching gridsquares.

I notice, however, that even when the error presents and I get instruction to reload the records, other eQSL OPS can still view and download their (my) eQSL.

So Q1: Why have the error when it seems there is no impediment to others getting their eQSL?
and
Q2: I cannot (can't imagine) making a separate account for every park activation (mobile gridsquare) I operate from. That would be horrendous. Is there a better way?. My options are to ignore the error because others still get their eQSL, or continue changing my GS for each activation.
thanks
Alan

you're right, none...except for the fact that we, award managers, keep rejecting qso's in grid award applications : bold red lines with "log entry says xyz, account says abcde". You say "horrendous", I agree, when I have to deal with a few thousands credits in an award application

You know what ? I would prefer this, you just keep a single home account, you upload EVERYTHING with your home grid and, save the grid chasers, everybody will be pleased

OK firstly - I apologise for my obvious ignorance WRT gridsquare awards and management thereof.

So are you saying that if I upload on my single home account with a different GS, it does not cause you problems?
(just trying to guess if you were being sarcastic - which you are fully entitled to be)

I'm just trying to work out a way of eliminating a rather large task of exporting batches (every time I do a park) to ADIF, editing the GS, then uploading manually to eQSL. If I leave it the way it is, Log4OM just uploads along with uploads to other services. And it appears that my park chasers get their eQSL even though it resides in my account as an error.

As you seem to suggest, I'll let the park chasers get their gridsquare some other way if they are really intent on it.

Thanks for you help anyway. I appreciate it.

No, with your home grid square. No discrepancy will be flagged
You can give the true grid and POTA reference" in your comments. I don't know if POTA awards exist, how they are managed.........with paper qsl's, with a print of online-logs....????

Sorry I've confused the issue now.
I want to upload against my home QTH grid but with log entries containing the mismatched gridsquare. It shows as an error, but ops can still download.
If I do this does it cause you grief? to leave it with the error?

POTA log submissions are done with no gridsquare in the log. They are granted via online methods.

Do as you like, but personally, I would use VK2MET ONLY when I'm home
and VK2MET/p for portable, POTA , SOTA etc activities

The main point is to either use the same grid as the account profile OR NO GRID at all.
Too bad for the grid chasers....but if you don't want to bother with several /p profiles.....

I have reloaded all your VK2MET account without any grid (there were many flagged qso's)
....many qso's, from the comments I saw, were for POTA activations

No, once again, don't leave qso's with grid errors, this gives us unnecessary work

Also, mind where you upload and what logs

You have cross-posted qso's , that is identical qso's uploaded both to VK2MET and VK2MET/P

OK thanks for your help.
It's either no grid, or the home QTH grid..
