Would it be possible to add a spell checker to the message text box? I'm very prone to making typos and it bugs me every time I re-read a support mail and see them.

I also have problems with fat fingering keys or just not being able to type correctly.
Since my keyboard doesn't have a spell checker I added one to my browser.
The spell checker I use is ieSpell for MS Internet Explorer. (http://www.iespell.com/)
Once added to IE you can spell check the forum entry window.

Good luck,
W6MEM

Thanks Mark,
Unfortuneately, I very rearely use IE and almost never when answering support mail where I need it most. I find the tabbed browsing of FireFox to be extremely valuable when I need to have several pages open at once and have the ability to quickly switch between them. Maybe there is a spell check plug in for FireFox, I'll look for that. If anyone else knows of one, feel free to chime in here.

Well I searched the FireFox extensions site for "spell" and indeed I did find 4 spell checkers. I am currently trying this one

http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/index

I've only tried it once (oops twice, I just used it on this message and it picked up two typos) so far but it looks like it will meet my needs. Thanks for getting me thinking in the right direction Mark I think this will help me a lot.

FYI:

As of 1 May 2006, Spellbound has not updated their extension so it does not work with the current version of Firefox (1.5).

Bummer!

Yes that is a bummer.

Couple that with the fact that I have been using IE 7.0 Beta 2 for the past several weeks and we are really out of luck. So, since you guys would get a laugh if I posted things without checking them I have started editing my posts in MS Word then copying them to the forum and other sites where there is no spell checker available. This has the added advantage of a thesaurus and grammar check which is occasionally helpful.
