SWLs » SWL Confirmation Questions Feb 13, 2015 02:55 PM (Total replies: 7)

I NEVER received a SWL report from March 1979 till now on CW or SSB QSOs.
A year ago I started using the JT65 mode. Since then, in less than a year, I have received 12 SWL reports on JT65 reception. JT65 is an easy mode to monitor, almost any portable RX capable of SSB reception, will receive JT-65 and the software will easily decode it.
I myself often SWL using the Hack Green SDR RX on web sdr.org with just a microphone in front of my speakers, and it works great.(using JT65 HF or WSJT-X software).

SWLs » SWL Confirmation Questions Feb 13, 2015 01:17 PM (Total replies: 7)

Seems the problem still exists until someone complains.
If I was an uninformed ham who had fallen into this trap, I would not appreciate receiving a "warning flag"
If EQsl is going to continue support for SWLs the problem should be fixed.
I will just not confirm any SWL reports until the problem is actually addressed.

SWLs » a DL Ham requesting a SWL confirmation Feb 12, 2015 10:29 PM (Total replies: 14)

Hello,
I too have this problem with a French ham using his ham account to send me SWL reports.
I feel this is a dangerous thing allowing hams to receive QSLs of a QSO they never had but just generated a SWL report for.
Seems the software needs to be changed where SWL reports are just that not a QSO confirmation !!!
Thanks, Joe k0ivk

SWLs » SWL Confirmation Questions Feb 12, 2015 10:19 PM (Total replies: 7)

Hello all,
I too am having this problem, except from a licensed ham sending me SWL reports.
If I confirm the SWL report it will in effect confirm that I had a QSO with the station, which I did not. It seems that is a flaw in the system that allows licensed hams to receive confirmations of QSOs when in actuallity they only sent a SWL report.
The info on my card which is generated even says "Confirming 2-way QSO with XXXXX Band XXX TIME XXXX" etc. The only way I've been trying to handle this is to put in comments..."Thanks for SWL report".
What's happening here???? Is this the way it's supposed to work??
Thanks Joe k0ivk

Support - English speaking » Now UTC required for confirmation? Feb 12, 2013 10:05 PM (Total replies: 16)

I agree, this is the LAST straw. eQSL is already pretty much a waste of time. I have been using it for decades and still less that 100 countries while I've only been on LoTW 3 1/2 years and have nearly 300 countries.

Update:
Well, I finally sent an email to eQSL support and they say no log from Tx7M was ever uploaded. I sent an email to the TX7M team through eqsl and nothing so far. I also sent an email to their Web Support EA2RY direct. Nothing there either.
Looks like we may never get our TX7M eQSLs.
I got my TX7M QSLs through LoTW, but I'm trying to build my countries on eQSL.

Hello All'
I was wondering if anyone has their eQSL confirmations for TX7M yet
According to the TX7M website they were uploaded 11 days ago, but I haven't received mine yet.

"tx7m: All TX7M & TX3T QSOs are uploaded into eQSL. Scans of licenses TX7M and TX3T are sent to eQSL to get the AG status. Enjoy! 11 days ago"
