I was just thinking about various ways we as eQSL users could help promote the use of the eQSL service. 10-10 International members will often call CQ 10-10 when they are looking to make contact with other 10-10 international members. This serves to help get the word out about 10-10 International as well as helps them to get closer to awards, etc. What if we as eQSL members did something similar? If we were to actively look for other eQSL members on the air, this could help us achieve the same goal. It would get the word out about eQSL, encourage members that have not been active to renew their interest in the service as well as entice members that don't have AG status to finally make that step so they can participate in the awards program. The more exposure we give to eQSL on the air, the more people that will have the opportunity to see what eQSL has to offer its members. 73 de Jeff VE6EFR

Great proposal. I will use this when I call CQ, except for local rag-chews However for eAwards you need Authenticate Guaranty (AG). Could this be done like CQ eQSL (AG) or something like that. It is easy to implement in digital modes, but may be a bit cumbersome in phone calls. Any comments? 73 de LA9RT Bent Vangli

I would think that the person calling CQ could do whatever they felt comfortable with. The only downside with only looking for members that have AG status is that they may be fewer and farther between. If we just look for eQSL members we always have the option to request that they become AG certified. In either case I think it could help to generate interest in eQSL, and that's the primary goal. Now if we could just get the majority of DX to use it we would be in great shape. 73 de Jeff VE6EFR

I think it is a great idea; I have just updated a macro for PSK and I'm going to give it a whirl now on 15 Metres while there is still a bit of life left on the band.
