hi, I would be interested to know if eqsl has had any special event stations on? the reason I ask is that I heared a special event station the other day asking people not to send a eqsl. is there a reason for this.

They may not have an account with eQSL. What was the call?

I searched eQSL, Google and QRZ.com. I could not find IIV3VR ( or anything like it) or the veronica ARI. You may have copied the call incorrectly? Maybe they will operate again and you can verify the call. In any case, they don't want eQSLs, so it is their loss. 73!

Hi,
The correct call is II3VR. Actually, there is a "PLEASE NO E-QSL" mention on their qrz.com page
By the way, I always wonder why, when I see this in a digi qso, on a qrz.com page... One thing is almost sure : they don't know how eqsl works.
Or do they expect me to filter my uploaded log not to include their qso ?
Other reasons ? Why so much hatred ?

I find that for stations that list that they don't accept eQSL I often continue to tune around looking for the next station. If they don't want my eQSL card, I don't want to take the time and make the contact. 73 de Jeff VE6EFR

Jeff, I try just the opposite, because many times the QRZ listing may be incorrect. I verify if they have an eQSL account. If not, I send them an email to show them how many eQSLs they may have waiting. I have had 2 or 3 hams get an account because of this. May be a little more trouble, but worth it to me, especially if it's a new one for me. More of a challenge, I guess. Sometimes, a special call (like N3L) has been given out more than once. This makes it difficult to set up a new eQSL account because you need to have unique dates and QTH nicknames. But it's not impossible. Good Luck and 73!

I have done special events and made eQSL accounts. But I work a lot of digital modes on my special events.
In my experience, rock-pounders and SSB folks tend to be less interested in eQSL overall. Some do it, but there is nowhere near the uptake in CW and SSB that there is in digital mode users.
Consequently, a lot of special events never come here.
