What happened to the eGrid HF award standings? I see the eGrid Satellite and eGrid UHF but the HF standings aren't there anymore.

Same for me here. I am very suprised that the EGrids for HF and VHF are gone without any further notice. Also the long time ago anounced VHF E-Grid Award has never come real. From my point of view not very user friendly. :-( I hope Sysops will think again about it and come to a more user friendly decision.

Yes I agree. Even if there are no awards it is a lot of fun to keep track of the grid that you work on both HF and VHF.

I’m not sure but I think Dave removed the HF grid list because it was inaccurate and needed some work. We are still working out some of the details of the other eGrid awards and will resume work on HF grid after the others have gone live.

Guess not! Over two months and no reply... I guess eGrid for HF is a dead issue? Hmmmm...

Good lord... I thought I'd been asking for the eGrid VHF for a long time (1 year), but I see people have been asking for this since 2006 or longer. Guess we can give up and forget this. I was thinking "YES, they're going to do this right" when I joined eQSL and became a paying member, but I see it's no different than the ARRL with things dragging on for years. I even joined CQ last year, when I saw CQ was accepting eQSL confirmation. I now feel like an idiot for spreading the word on the air and telling people how great this is. How many people here in eQSL pay money to be a member (in addition to fees for awards) like me? Lots, I know, as I see it with eQSLs in my archive. Oh well... despite all the yap about "things coming to eQSL" for years, it's like watching paint dry. We may all be dead before the most basic of awards are implemented by the oldest people in the show (ARRL), or the new kid on the block (eQSL). The reason for the delay is not on our end. We have the full range of eGrid awards ready to launch immediately. The problem is that our users are uploading Echolink and IRLP contacts as if they were real RF contacts. We discovered that the eGrid VHF award applications were full of Satellite contacts that were not marked as Satellite contacts. They were full of EchoLink, IRLP, and other VOIP contacts that were not true RF contacts. This was in part due to the fact that Loggers did not support the Propagation Mode field to allow people to properly flag those contacts.
We are waiting for loggers to implement the Propagation Mode tag, for our members to properly flag those contacts that are not straight-line RF contacts, and to ensure that when we do launch these awards, that their integrity will not be in question. That's all.
Of course, that's just my opinion... I could be wrong!

HI Dave, When you say "loggers", are you talking about logging programs? Is there no way to "filter out" the improperly entered contacts by those folks, rather than waiting for the industry to do something to conform to eQSL's requirements? This could conceivably take forever, if you're waiting on everyone else to step up to the plate. People should know that internet or relay'd (repeaters/sats) contacts don't count for conventional VUCC-style awards.
