There is an animated graphic eQSL logo that appears in the upper left on the Inbox page and others.

The Earth is rotating in the wrong direction in the image.

Yes, that is a really anal-retentive picky point, but really, we're all supposed to be knowledgeable techies ... we should probably have the planet rotating in the proper direction :)

I asked Dave, N5UP, about that a couple of years ago. This was his reply (I saved it for the odd time it comes up in the support queue):

Satellites and spacecraft are launched from West to East along the equator in order to take advantage of the 1200 mph rotational speed of the earth, to give them a head start on orbital velocity, and even the polar or inclined orbits are generally aimed toward the east in order to buy that same headstart. Viewed from such a spacecraft (or ham radio satellite), the earth would indeed appear to be spinning in the direction shown in our Logo.
