I have a eQSL confirmed QSO that was uploaded from HRD .377 but when I download with HRD .377 shows unconfirmed red X. I have looked at the data I see nothing wrong. Is this something in HRD or eQSL. Thank you 73 wa4mit

If you tell me the callsign of the other party I can check it from this end.

I see in in the system here, looks fine at this end.

In HRD, when you select that download operation, you need to specify a received since date, is it possible the date you are using does not cover the date the eQSL was received by the system? Only other thing I can think of, after you have downloaded the contacts using HRD, you need to press the "Update Matching QSOs" button.

I know to do all those things, when the downloaded list appears this one QSO has a red X in front of it. I made a screen shot but there does not seem a way to attach here. I will try HRD forum see if anyone there can help. I know I can go in and manually change the eQSL to received but I do not recall having this happen before and it is just this one QSO. Strange.

I may have found something on this problem. I did another download from eQSL with HRD and then when it updates there is a adi type file shown of the data so I did a screen save of this and carefully looked at the WQ1C line of data there appears to be a space after the callsign that does not appear after the other callsigns in this download. I have looked at this QSO in my outbox and there are no spaces in the callsign box.
Could you check this out maybe this came from WQ1C I don`t know but maybe this is what is keeping it from confirming in HRD.
Thanks 73

His callsign looks ok here in the database. If you are looking at the raw ADIF file, the callsign portion should look like <CALL:4>WQ1C , is that what you see?

Yes but there appears to be a space following the "c" as in "c <" just comparing that line to the other lines

The key in that <CALL:4> part is the number 4. That tells the program that is reading the ADIF file, in this case HRD, to read the next 4 characters and to use that for the callsign field. So the fact that you are seeing <CALL:4> means that the data is being downloaded from here correctly.

Any luck getting help from the HRD guys on this? From the eQSL side everything seems ok.

OK Dave in that line it is <call:5>, just like I mentioned it appears there is a space after the "c" in WQ1C. I did not realize that is what those numbers represent. I made a screen save of this if you have a email I can send it to.

If it says :5 instead of :4, that is definitely the problem, it would explain the extra space you are seeing and also why HRD is not finding a match.

I'm shutting down here for the day but will have another look at his account in the morning, must be something going on there that I missed. I'll follow with you on Wednesday.

Quick update: There is definitely a problem with that particular record in the database, no idea why, the account itself looks fine. I've forwarded it over to the webmaster, I'll get back to you as soon as I hear back from him.

Yes, the webmaster fixed that record last night. Not sure how it could have happened in the first place, but he is looking into it.
