Hi,
When confirming a swl eQSL, I always leave the signal report field blank. Is this the correct way of doing it, or should I put in "swl" or something else?

It doesn't really matter if you are confirming an SWL report, but I do the same, I blank out the signal report.

I always put SWL in the signal report for SWL confirmations.

I put a "real" report, with readability (1-5) and my Smeter level (1-9+30dB).
it is more difficult in digital modes (JT65, PSK31,...) where I report 599 then I write if there was QRM or the quality of decoded messages.

Several times, Hams Thanked me for this information.

Hi Patrick,

my question was, what I shall confirm to an swl, when I receive an swl qsl.
eqsl wants a report in the form, which makes no sense, but I don’t want to create an invalid qsl.
I always leave it blank now which seems OK, no swl complained so far.
Getting a signal report from the swl however makes sense and is appreciated.

Marc, being an SWL when I get a confirmation from a ham with written 599 (which happens in 50% of the cases) I normally smile since he could not listen to me.
Personally I appreciate when it is simply written "SWL" which in my mind means: "you're an SWL so there's no report report available for you".
