Hi,
I fail to understand why so many awards (not only eQSL) are available for SWL's. Being a SWL for thirty (!) years this is quite frustrating. I would like to get your opinion about this. I have the feeling most HAM's consider SWL's as a HAM that was not bright enough to get a HAM license, but I just enjoy listening, just for the sake of it, just becasue of the many exciting and interesting QSO's, just waiting for the bands opening up, just for the gap getting that one rare call...
Listening to all you HAM;s is exciting enough for me, why so few awards just for the effort?
Kind regards and best 73, Eelco NL101733 (SWL and happy with it)

Is there a special reason why SWLs haven't organized like hams have, and in so doing, created their own awards?

We could start by promoting an Award only for SWL within eQSL, then a club reserved for international SWL.
iSWLc - International SWL club
SWLRC - SWL Radio Club
First commandment publish a blacklist of OM that do not meet the QSL. :-))

In the back of CQ magazine you will see certifacts awarded to Hams as well as swl. Alot of countrys will list if they give out awards for SWL check out this website for southAfrica awards www.sarl.org.za You might have to drop the za. Also you might try D.A.R.C.this is the German Amateur Radio Club.
