Is there a way to add comments eg: "thanks for contest contact" either before you upload a adif file or after the upload? With contest logs with 100+ entries it would be nice to be able to do this.

Anything that happens to your ADIF file before you upload it to eQSL would have to be performed by your local log program. Many log programs including the one that I use, DXKeeper, do provide such a feature. The only way to do this on-line is by editing the QSO's one at a time.

The only thing I'd add is that if you're comfortable hacking ADIF files in a text editor - and not everyone is - then you could always edit in a QSLMSG message.

For example, use wordpad to open the file - and replace the <EOR> tag with something like
<QSLMSG:36>Thanks for the ARRL 160m contest QSO<EOR>

You might want to take a copy of the file before you do something drastic like that

If you don't know what the number 36 means in <QSLMSG:36> above then read the ADIF specification before attempting any manual edits on your ADIF file. If you don't fully understand specification then don't even think about doing manual edits on your ADIF file. You'll only make matters worse.

On the other hand if you are comfortable with the specification then by all means global search and replace using any common text editor can accomplish your goal.
