Anyone tried to receive / QSO over WSPR? I have installed WSPR 1.01 and tried to receive something on the published frequencies for hours and hours, but all I see on the 'waterfall' diagrams is random noise. I'm using the same proven setup as for RTTY and PSK via the soundcard, but receive no callsign, no nothing... what could it be that I am doing wrong?

Roland, Maybe that's why they call it WSPR 'whisper'. Hi Hi.... This is the first time I've heard of it. Try Googling WSPR and see what you get. I think there is a web site and a net for WSPR. Maybe that will get you going. Good Luck 73 Andy - n1ork

I suggest you look at wsprnet.org...... That is the "official"site for this program.
Start receiving first, preferably on 30mtr. That will give you an idea how it works. And ... no QSO's are made in this mode! it is a propagation measument tool.
I have a lot of fun with it to be honest, but I still have figure out why I cannot transmit at the moment.

Quote: no QSO's are made in this mode! it is a propagation measument tool. For the record you can have a QSO in WSPR. You cannot do it with the program WSPR. The later version of the WSJT7 program by K1JT has a WSPR QSO mode, as well as QSO modes for the other very narrow band highly redundant modes. Jim G3VDB G3VDB Jim Evans
