Actually this did exist for a short while but has been temporaily discontinued because the first award application contained too many EchoLink, IRLP and satellite QSOs that did not have the propagation mode entered properly. Please be sure that you fill in the propagation mode when you make contacts using any of the above modes.

Hi all,

"...has been temporaily discontinued ..."

so do you intend to bring it up again?
I also liked the idea of grid-awards, one could run them seperately for h.f., 6, ..

I asked Dave Morris this question a couple of weeks ago. Below is his response. As you can see the missing PropMode entries are a big problem that must resolved before the award totals will be anywhere close to accurate.

"I decided to start with UHF, since it was most easily verifiable, but we soon discovered that we can't even count on UHF contacts to be correct. The first application was full of satellite, IRLP, and EchoLink contacts that were not coded properly with PropMode. So, I've decided we first need to create the eGrid Satellite award so people will be diligent to code those contacts properly as SAT in the PropMode field, and that will help us weed out all of those. Maybe we should institute some IRLP and EchoLink awards, to encourage people to properly code those in the PropMode, so they will be removed from the general eGrid qualifiers.

Dave"

Hi Hubert,

No problem with your English, in fact it is quite good.

You may be right with regard to a stand alone 6 meter award. The award eQSL attempted to implement was a VHF/UHF award which includes everything from 6 meters and up. On the bands above 6M the Internet and Satellite Relay modes are a problem.

PropMode is a new ADIF tag that is part of ADIF 2.0. Any log program that supports ADIF 2.0 will also support PropMode. To see what entries eQSL needs, visit the Manual Log Entry screen and click on the drop down list next to "Special Propagation Mode".

Bonjour Rich ,
Ok for the definition of PropMode , but they need to insert a new selection witch call QRA locator in the log format or they use the grid in the profile but what can we do for an OM/YL witch are on portable or mobile , i don"t think Sat mod is a probleme it is radio you have to use your Vhf/Uhf and your antenna to make the contact like moon echo , the probleme is Internet Radio witch for the Ham user it's like MSM ( an MSN for HAM...) so we are waiting for the new award , an special 6 will be great ... i'am going to transmit i hear FM5 and W4 station on 6 meter so cw is on from IN94 bye and 73

Hi Rira,
The only thing I know for sure about new awards is that the ePFX300 award is only days away. Logs are now being tested and there are just a couple of minor issues that need to be resoved before it becomes an official award.

Hopefully Dave will follow up on this.

Any news as to an award for 6 meter grid squares for SSB and CW? Or possibly something like ARRL's VUCC?

6 has been pretty exciting this month and I am sure it will just keep getting better.

Hi Guys/Gals,

Since it has been several years in discussion, what is the probability of an eVUCC actually happening here at eQSL?

I really like eQSL and use it most every time I'm on the air. Just wishing for an eVUCC or something similar.

Thanks!

Another 6 months has passed since the last post. Add me to the list of those who would love to see an eVUCC.
