Same here. Mine ran out in Jan of 2020, and I didn't know it for weeks. An email or txt to phone would have been great. I get that from QRZ, ARRL, providers for my domain names, etc. WOuld put more money in eQSL's pocket and help me keep my subscription active.

Like many of you, I've been a paying member of this site for many years. I've asked about this before, but it's only getting worse as you add more and more awards. PLEASE, make a change in the system so we don't have to "check out standings" and then "Update MyAwards Page" for every single iteration of every award. I just burned a crazy amount of time just checking my award status. It's not just me, but everyone on here that you hope to sell an award plaque to.

PLEASE, please, please...do something about this. This is the craziest system to check awards I've ever seen. My logging program will do these things for me with one click. There's no reason we should have to spend and hour (or more) at the time clicking "Check Standings" and "Update MyAwards Page" buttons just to see what awards we might qualify for.

Here's a copy of this same request from 5 YEARS ago... : Jun 13, 2015 05:54 AM: How about a single button to update all standing in the awards section, instead of having spend so much time to go to every single category update the standings? I often avoid doing it for this very reason... Thanks.

That wasn't even the first, but it's one I just spotted in a simple search. Am I alone in this request? I can't imagine that I am the only one who simply gives up and moves on to spend my time on something more productive.

PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!! It wasn't so bad when you only had a few awards, but now you have a gillion sub-awards, and we have to click ourselves to death to wade through a waist deep pile of "Check Standings" and "Update MyAwards Page" link buttons.

So...it seems to me it the users problem if they don't have their grid listed correctly in their own account. That's the way is is in QRZ and LOTW. It's not like these awards are used to secure a mortgage on a home or borrow money...it's a simple plaque, mostly for our own enjoyment. I see my first post dates all the way back to 2009, but still no VUCC or similar award. I'm not trying to be a butt over this, but SWL's can skim enough data off the dxcluster to submit for awards, I don't see the issue with VUCC if someone has the wrong grid in their logger...their problem. I'm just one paying member for many years, but I'm sure I'm not alone. in this request. QRZ has totally developed their system in just a few years for this.

I've been asking about this since 2010, and even back then, I was hearing "soon". After at least 10 years, I'm thinking it's not gonna happen...

Hi David,

I do a little JT65, not real active on that mode. Every once in a while I'll do it to remind myself how it works, but it's just a little too slow for me :-) I'll check and see if my contacts show up there.

Update...duh, I'm stupid. You said "test" mode... I went over and looked through all the categories and realized that it wasn't there for folks to see. I log with AClog and it calls to QRZ for QSL info. That populates the grid field in my log automatically, and I correct it if the other person is rover or operating at a different location. The grid square data is certainly there in my uploads, I've just never looked to see what eQSL does with it.

Dave

I think it would be great if just one button click would update all, instead of spending all this time having to update every single category. It's getting tiresome to have to work through every category just to see where I am in standings...

Amen, I just spent about 1/2 hour tonight doing just that. It would be great to just have a single button to update all awards. Can this be done? I often avoid doing it for this very reason...

Howdy eQSL folks! Just checking in again to see if there's any headway on an eQSL 6/2/etc grid square award, yet? I've done it every year or so since 2009.

Tomasz,

I still like the USA, despite what you might think. I might not agree with everything, but I don't lump the entire country in the same pool as you. I live here, and still think it's one of the best countries on the planet to live. How many of the "anti-american" independent countries do we not recognize for DXCC, like North Korea, do we not recognize? Not many, and for a damned good reason. Are you suggesting that North Korea is some sparkling region of humanitarian hope that we're ignoring??

I, too, love those electronic picture frames. I have one in my shack with all of the eQSLs I've ever received. It's packed... Looks great, and makes me remember contacts often, while sitting around doing a bit of rag chewing, and watching the display on the shelf. I just download them directly from eQSL and send them up to the picture frame.

Contesting » Does the ARRL accept eQSL cards for their constests Jan 12, 2014 10:19 PM (Total replies: 5)

Hi Jeff and group,

I feel the same way. I do use LOTW and submit for the ARRL awards, but they're not the only awards on the planet by a long shot. My eQSL returns have gone up quite a bit, too. The eQSL awards look great, and demonstrate the same performance to me. I hang them on the walls of my shack and post them on my website. None of them help with the mortgage, improve my credit rating, or yield discounts at the local stores. I just like chasing paper a bit from time to time. Sure, if someone wanted to cheat the system badly enough, I'm sure they could, but to what end? They're only lying to themselves, as it doesn't really matter to anyone else.

I think it's pretty cool that eQSL has worked with DARC & 73 for co-operation with their awards. Honestly, the eQSLs I get, for the most part, look better than the paper ones I get direct from hams or through the buro. I download them from my account and upload them to one of those electronic picture frames that runs in my shack all the time. Pretty snazzy!

eQSL rocks!

I don't think they do as of yet. They have an issue with accepting anything but their own stuff so far.

Makes perfect sense, David, and thanks for taking time to reply about this. Like with most things, there's usually a lot more to make something happen than it would appear on the surface :-)

For the last couple of years, I would download and save to my computer, my incoming qsls. The would download as .jpg files. In recent weeks, all cards are downloading as .png files. I've not made any changes on my end...any idea why this is happening??

General web site suggestions » Facebook share button on QSL template? Nov 25, 2010 10:10 PM (Total replies: 3)

I just ran a few tests and realized whomever is to view the eQSL card must also be logged into eQSL for it to work. Would be nice to somehow send or share a public version of the card image to a facebook page as a "share" or "like". Anyone have any ideas in a way to do this with just a click or two??

General web site suggestions » Facebook share button on QSL template? Nov 25, 2010 04:32 PM (Total replies: 3)

Would it be possible to add a facebook "Share" button to the template use to show QSL cards? By that, I mean the little window that pops up when one clicks "display" in the logbook or archives. I've seen people saving their card and pasting them to facebook, and I think this would be great exposure for eQSL, given the crazy popularity of Facebook amoung hams.

Just an idea to help with exposure of this great system!

May be, I just wanted to let someone here know that the links were broken, whatever the reason. I doubt CQ will change their links back, so someone here will ultimately have to repair them.
