Russ, that's exactly what my doc is telling me
however, they don't give me my time I want now, so we'll carry on.

Will be on the band again tomorrow, see what's happening...

At 0000 UTC (my Thursday afternoon 4PM PST) I was on and around 14.250, called K6FAF, listened, called again, listened, worked an Iowa station 59+ both ways until 0015 UTC, then quit.

Long skip I guess.

I would still like to try something on Saturday say around 2200 UTC.

Will be available again in 1-2 days. Am sick at home, no wish to start hamming right now.
See ya

Should not be a problem betwen the 2 of us, as I knew already. Before I could get your attention, you were gone.

Sorry Guys-------

I have not been at the HF QTH for a while, but I will be "home" this weekend.

Time available both Thursday and Friday afternoons PST. Saturday is out since I head a VE team traveling to La Push (80 some miles NW of my QTH) for the first of three Saturday Technician license classes. Also Sunday is out - some football game I want to listen to while I commute back to Seattle until Wednesday the 8th.

GO HAWKS !!!!

If the bands are open, I would like to try some contacts.

Let me know of any interest.

You're right. The bands are not going to improve for a few years so we may as well take what the propagation Gods give us.

My schedule is real full right now with a Technician class and VE test sessions, not to mention my weekly commute to Seattle on law enforcement business.

However, I see a "free" day, Friday, Feb 24th and I can be available any time that day for a "net" on 20M say around 14.275. I suppose we could try 15 as well, but 20 seems to be better in my area (75 miles NW of Seattle, Clallam County, Port Angeles, WA). If that day doesn't work, the next weekend day free is Saturday, March 4th.

Let's hear from all you out there. What do you think?

Hi, All,
tnx Russ for trying to make this possible.
And you are right about the propagation.
Right now in my free time I am diggin the hole for my tower to have it up on March 4th for the contest, but will try on 2-24-06, hopefully after 5pm because of work.

Why do you think an eQSL net is necessary? Based on the number of individuals responding in these comments there doesn't seem to be any interest in a eQSL net. Why would an individual want to check into an eQSL net? All the support they might need is available on the website. Why would DX stations want to check in? What service would it provide? Not that I'm an IOTA chaser, but 14.260 Mhz is the IOTA calling frequency. Aren't there enough useless "nets" on the air as it is?
