Have you guys settled on a regular schedule for the NET yet? I would like to check in and participate if so.

Thanks and 73,

No one ever came forward to say that they would run the net. Others, like myself want to participate, but can't be a net control station.

I am stuck with a stealth antenna and no amp, so I am not a big enough gun to be NCS.

There is interest, but no coordination or leader.

73,
Dan

Hello Fellow Members:

Our second eQSL net will be held this coming Saturday, Nov 25th at 1800 UTC around 14.310 depending on QRM on the West Coast. The earlier time was suggested to get better propagation to EU for our friends over there. As additional "advertisement" I will be in the SKED CHAT ROOM at least 15 minutes prior to net time.

I hope to see many of you there. I am in NW Washington for your beam headings.

Was there any one on the net on Saturday? I came up late and didn't hear anything.

Maybe the propagation was not on my side.

Yes! I wasn't able to make it this week but Russ reported the following to the advisory board:

"The net lasted 30 minutes, with 14 check-ins. States representated were WA, WI, PA, IL, AZ, IN, OH, VA, AL, MT, TX, CA, and CO. Even had a mobile in Ottawa Canada join the fun. I tried but no propagation to EU. Some non-members checked in and they were given the web site and details of the system. Lots of contacts were made and we were able to help N9KEI get Montana for his e-WAS, leaving just UT and WY."

Sounds like it went well and hopefully the activity will continue to increase in the coming weeks.

Russ is having a problem accessing the forums and asked me to answer for him.

Yes, 1800Z 14310 + QRM every Saturday until further notice.

I will not be able to be NCS this Saturday, 09-Dec. Anyone who would like to run the net find a clear frequency above 14.310, call for the eQSL Net and see what happens. I would appreciate any results since I am keeping a log of checkins for history.

Sorry Everyone:

We had a hurricane, that's right a hurricane (85+ MPH winds) come thru western Washington State early last Friday morning, like about 2 AM. Rude awakening. My power was off until 1945 UTC today (Monday) so I could not run the net.

My good intentions are to be around 14.310 +/- QRM at 1800 this coming Saturday, 23-Dec-2006. My appologies to all but Ma Nature had other plans for me last week.

OK, Friends, I need some help with this week's net.

Again Western Washington is getting pounded with high winds and heavy snow. I am 75 miles away from my HF QTH with virtually no hope of getting home for a week or more.

As of 0200 UTC Thursday, Jan 11, I have 5 inches of snow on the ground and still coming down HARD. The roads are impassable with temperatures below freezing and not expected to rise above that point for several days.

Here is your chance to help out - I NEED REPLACEMENT NCS FOR THIS SATURDAY, JAN 13.

Someone PLEASE step up to the plate and help out. We are having success with the net and I don't want to lose momentum.

Any help, e-mail me at <k7ina@aol.com> or <k7ina@arrl.net>.

OK Everybody, here is the deal:

The snow finally stopped in Western Washington but not until 11" had been deposited. Most of our freeway system have been shut down and the outlying areas are completely impassable. High temps are only in the 20s thru the weekend so "warming" is in our dreams.

Ernest, N3TXH, has stepped forward to act as this week's NCS and I have provided him with a ck-in list and some guidelines for running the net.

There is a chance I will be home but it all depends on the road conditions Friday morning. If I think it is worth a chance I will make a break for home, some 75 miles northwest of Seattle. For now, Ernest will be NC.

Greetings To All:

I finally made it home after all our snow storms.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that at 1800 tomorrow (Saturday) the North American QSO Party, phone version, kicks off. That usually means forget any net activity because there ain't any room.

But I will try to find a hole somewhere around 14.314, so if you can, look around for me.

No guarantees.

Something new this Saturday for the net - I will open a chat room for comments between members during the net session. I will announce which room at 1800 when I open the net.

So far we have had 7 net sessions, 50 different check-ins, 77 total check-ins, average of 11 check-ins per net. Many repeat check-ins so we have something going here!

So far only NA and Canada but I swing the 9 elements to EU and check anyway. Soon we will have our EU friends. The OMISS net has a regular in the Azores check in, same time just a different frequency so it is possible!

See you all Saturday, 03-Feb-2007, 1800 UTC, on or around 14.310. I try to find a clear frequency at about 1750 UTC to establish our frequency.

We need a volunteer for NC next Saturday, Feb 10. I will be on special assignment for the police department all that day.

The preamble and a list of previous checkins will be provided to whomever steps up to help out. If no one comes forward there will not be a net.

It's not that hard and really a lot of fun.
